The ideal candidate for the position of Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing heavy machinery and equipment used in construction.
Key responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural issues.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, cranes, and trucks, to ensure proper functioning and safety.
Diagnose complex equipment problems, utilizing diagnostic tools and manuals, to identify the root cause of issues and implement effective solutions.
Replace and repair faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications.
Perform welding and fabrication work to repair or modify equipment components and structures.
Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, hours worked, and repairs completed.
Adhere to safety standards, procedures, and guidelines when performing maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring a safe working environment.
Properly clean, store, and maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles used in the maintenance and repair process.
Communicate with customers, equipment operators, and supervisors to provide updates on repair progress and address any concerns or questions.
